SUMMARY:

Peacemakers 2019-3-PL01-KA347-077535

     The main purpose of the submitted project is to make young people aware, active and participative. We aim to raise Youth awareness on how to deal with refugees' affairs legally and provide them with legal support under EU regulations. Under this Key Action we will involve local politicians and make research on a subject of migrants from out of our eastern border which is nearby.
Specific objectives:

  • Making European youth more award and familiar with legal standards of international protection provided to vulnerable people, including refugees; Deeper understanding of EU regulations and legislation;

  • Building- capacity of a group of European youth to provide refugees with legal assistance, through a and policies at the national level;

  • Developing the analytical and legal skills of this group to enforcing and enhancing EU legislation

  • Promoting the positive legal behavior among this group of European youth to protect refugees and regulate their flows to the EU borders.


It is addressed to young people from the eastern part of the province Lublin. We will use the potential of people involved in the Foundation's activities and we will bring experts from partner organization in Ireland, Friendly Island Company LTD., which was created by Polish migrants and is well recognized for its work.
 

In our project we will develop the following subjects:
The legal definition of refugees according to international conventions and specifically the European ones.
1. Legal framework principles for international protection.
2. How is determining refugee status conducted and by who?
3. Qualification and Asylum procedures Directive in EU.
4. Legal rights of refugees.
5. Obligations and duties of refugees towards host states.
6. Facts and figures about refugees in European Union.
7. Legal development of EU policies towards asylum seekers.

BUDGET:

Food, accommodation and local travel costs (only during the activity program) will be covered 100% by the grant from local National Agency of Erasmus+. Travel costs are refunded up to the limit described in the Infopack.
