ACtIV: Active Citizens through Initiatives and Volunteering
The project has been funded with the support from the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Programme.
We have activated local society of Zeszczynka - a village in Poland well known for its milk production, near eastern border of EU - and supported their association in the creation, management and implementation of several new Grundtvig projects.
We provided know-how in the very area of management and logistics as well as fresh human resources. One of the projects was ACtIV. The project has been implemented in 2012 - 2014.
Senior Volunteers Exchange.
The main project activities included 3-week exchanges of senior volunteers from both partner organisations. The aim of the exchanges of the volunteers is to get them involved in statutory works of the host organisation. In the summer 2013 a group of 4 Romanian senior volunteers arrived at Zeszczynka, in Poland, for a period of 3 weeks to be involved in preparing and managing of the annual Milk Festival.
Delivering volunteer support abroad.
Similarly, a group of 4 Polish senior volunteers departed to Romania for 3 weeks to be involved in preparation and management of the annual pilgrimage taking place in the region. On 21st May 2014 the group of 4 people chosen and prepared by SILWZ was sent to a partner organisation SOROS in Miercurea Ciuc/Csikszereda.
